Preparations are well under way for the 26th edition of the N3TC Drak Challenge bin Underberg on 19 and 20 January, an
d it will once again form a leg of the International Canoe Federation’s World Series.
During the winter the host club Canyon Kayak Club have been hard at work, cleaning up the river, continuing the wattle eradication programme, and removing trees and debris from the river while the water levels were at the low winter levels.
The club also completed the removal of the steel oil drum, filled with concrete, that has been a worrying impediment in Tokolosh Rapid at the start of the Underberg Gorge.
Entries will open on 29 October 2018 via ROAG.
