At the end of the Lower Gorge, Heaven and Hell offers three options. At most levels there is a sneak against the left hand bank called Heaven. There is a tight rocky channel a little further down the rapid through the centre called Purgatory.
The best line is on the inside of the shelf drop on the right, called Hell!
Approach it left of centre aiming to drop in right of the rocky island below the rapid. Shoot it straight and enjoy! The pool below is deep and easy to recover from a swim. In low river conditions this line is still the best one, but will require a set-up more to the left and a right hand turn back into the pool.
