500 metres downstream of Scotstons weir comes this rapid, identifiable by the municipal pumphouse on the right hand bank’, and it’s nature varies hugely with each change in the water level. The line is right of centre all the way down but at lower water levels there are a few tricky rocks in the exit line that need to be skirted. These have removed more than their fair share of noses over the years.
Avoid the left drop as this ledge has some awkward rocks below the drop, and at a full level has a suck-back!
